Cellulose Ether

Cellulose is an environmentally friendly natural polymer originating from trees and plants. It is generally obtained from wood, cotton or fibrous plants. Cellulose is synthesized in different forms such as methyl cellulose (MC), hydroxyethylcellulose (HEC), hydroxyethylmethylcellulose (HEMC), hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (HPMC) through the etherification process and plays a very important role in the construction and paint industry.

Advantages:

  • Binding
  • Increasing water retention and uptime
  • Slip resistance

It is a nonionic, water-soluble cellulose ether. It is odorless and available as a fine powder without surface treatment.

  • Fast thickening.
  • High water retention ability.
  • Early strength and rigidity.
  • Easy pumping, straightening and levelling effect.

Usage areas;

  • Gypsum based mortar.
