Cellulose Ether
Cellulose is an environmentally friendly natural polymer originating from trees and plants. It is generally obtained from wood, cotton or fibrous plants. Cellulose is synthesized in different forms such as methyl cellulose (MC), hydroxyethylcellulose (HEC), hydroxyethylmethylcellulose (HEMC), hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (HPMC) through the etherification process and plays a very important role in the construction and paint industry.
Advantages:
- Improving viscosity stability and solubility of paints
- Binding
- Water retention and more effective bonding
- Slip resistance
HEC 100B is a nonionic cellulose ether. It is easily dispersed and dissolved in water. It produces high viscosity solution.
- It has good dispersibility in water and it dissolves easily.
- It regulates viscosity and rheology.
- It has water retention, stabilizer and suspending properties.
Usage areas;
- Water based paint
