Defoamers

Mineral Oil Based Defoamers
Mineral oil-based defoamers have a lower surface tension than water. In the film layer; they do not cause a structure such as fisheye or crater that will spoil the film surface. It is suitable for dense and resistant systems where other defoamers cannot be active. It can be used in production areas such as water-based industrial paints, printing inks, water-based pigment paste, textiles. They do not contain phenolic structure, silicone and volatile components. They provide a cost advantage to the consumer.
It is a general purpose mineral oil based defoamer emulsion for water based systems.
- It also prevents foam formation after use.

- It does not contain APEO .

Silicone Based Liquid Defoamers
Silicone-based defoamers used in water-based systems are emulsions of strong hydrophobic silicone oils. Polydimethylsiloxanes are often used. It can be modified with silica and polyureas to improve the dispersibility and defoaming performance of the silicone oil. Their cost is higher than mineral oil-based defoamers. It is used in high quality coating formulations.
It is a defoamer composition consisting of polyether, polyether siloxane and silica mixtures used for general purposes in water-based systems.
